Resolved: This incident is fully resolved now. The Belgian authorities had erroneously blocked the Proton Drive domain due to an implementation error while attempting to block a specific URL.

As soon as we identified the issue, our team engaged with the relevant authorities, including Belgian CERT and the Federal Police, to clarify the error. Through constructive dialogue, we demonstrated that the block should have been limited to the specific URL in question, not our entire service.

As a result, access to Proton Drive was fully restored over the weekend. We also worked with the authorities to help implement corrected procedures, ensuring that any future enforcement actions target only specific content, not entire domains.

Our engineering teams are actively working to identify the root cause and are in contact with both ISPs to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. In the meantime, access to Proton Drive can be restored by using Proton VPN. All other Proton services remain fully operational and unaffected.
