The BigCommerce platform is currently experiencing an abnormally high volume of automated traffic being directed at stores.
The engineering team has deployed a number of security rules to mitigate this traffic and to ensure reliability and performance of the platform is maintained. During this time merchants and shoppers may be presented with a Cloudflare challenge page as they navigate the store, which verifies they are a human user.
The engineering team is continuing to refine the rules and and working to reduce frequency of these interruptions. We are also working closely with our vendor to further mitigate and improve the automatic classification of traffic.
If you are experiencing issues managing your store through the Control Panel or API, we advise you to reach out the BigCommerce Support team for further assistance.
We are currently experiencing degraded availability of Search across the platform. Some shoppers may see errors (HTTP 500) instead of search results. Our engineering team is actively investigating the cause.
Bolt payments are currently failing. The failure started when Bolt changed their domain from bolt.com to boltapp.com. Our team is working with Bolt to restore service. We will post an update as soon as we have more information.
We are investigating an issue affecting some shoppers on headless storefronts who use Chrome on Android. Since approximately 15:46 UTC on October 25, these shoppers may see an error, or may be blocked after several attempts, when they are redirected to checkout. Storefronts that use standard BigCommerce-hosted checkout pages are not expected to be affected.
Our engineering team has identified a likely cause of this issue and is now applying a fix.
