ITS Networking is aware of sporadic problems establishing a connection to the VPN. In most cases, a client reconnect or restart will fix the problem. At 5pm today (5/14) we will perform transparent maintenance that we hope to correct the issue.

ITS is working closely with Canvas’s parent company, Instructure, to determine its cybersecurity incident impacts specific to UNC-Chapel Hill. Instructure has provided a FAQ on the incident that has impacted thousands of schools nationwide. Any data breach information specific to our faculty and students will be promptly communicated to the impacted individuals. The registrar’s office will communicate directly with faculty to ensure grade submission options are available.
