We can confirm that all fiber restoration work is now complete and all services have been fully restored.

The initial activity began around 20:00 MT and wrapped up by 23:30 MT. Once finalized, traffic was successfully routed back from our alternate path to the primary fiber route.

We have received an update from the underlying carrier that the fiber restoration is on-going and ETR is 2300H MST tonight. We are closely coordinating with them for update. Thank you.

The Iristel Network Infrastructure Team has also implemented alternative routing to Yellowknife and Inuvik while the fiber break is on-going. We are monitoring active traffic and should restore SS7 network in the region.

Fiber Restoration is still on-going. The underlying carrier repair crews, splicing teams, and required materials have arrived on-site. Excavation work is underway to expose the damaged fibre, and the splicing crews are preparing replacement cables in parallel with ongoing excavation activities. Unfortunately no ETR has been provided.

The Iristel network infrastructure team has routed around the issue in Whitehorse. Calls relying on the SS7 network in the region should be operational.

We are currently looking at alternate routing options to resolve Yellowknife as well.
